Messages Not Receiving

What is happening?

Friends report delivered messages but your phone stays silent until you open the app.

Why this might happen

• Background sync blocked
• Notification issues
• DND mode inside mod
• Data saver

What to check first

• Notifications enabled?
• DND inside app off?
• Compare with official WhatsApp on same phone

How to fix it

1. Allow unrestricted background data.
2. Turn off mod DND features temporarily.
3. Disable adaptive battery for the app on strict OEM skins.

If the problem continues

See notifications not working if alerts are the main symptom.

Dual app / second space clones

Cloned apps on Xiaomi, Oppo, or Samsung may not receive push reliably. Install the primary copy in the main profile when possible.
