Notifications Not Working

What is happening?

No banner or sound when messages arrive unless the app is open.

Why this might happen

  • Channel disabled
  • OEM battery kill
  • Mod DND
  • Focus mode

What to check first

  • Android notification channel on?
  • App not muted in system settings?

How to fix it

  1. Re-enable notification categories in Android app settings.
  2. Whitelist app from battery optimization.
  3. Disable mod DND temporarily to test.

If the problem continues

If messages arrive late, also read messages not receiving.

Channel-level toggles (Android 8+)

Long-press a notification → settings, or open App info → Notifications and enable all GB WhatsApp Pro categories, not just the master switch.
